OUR PROGRAMS

Langtree PTA is hard at work to create a variety of programs that engage students and their families beyond the classroom.

ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT

Class Trips
After class trips were removed from the Langtree school budget, the PTA felt moved to take action. Without field trips, students lose an opportunity to make connections between the classroom and the real world. The PTA covers the cost of transportation to provide teachers with an opportunity to schedule low or no cost trips for their class.

Assembly Programs

Each year the PTA coordinates "academic entertainment" for the school.  Programs vary from year to year and are approved by Dr. Persichetti for content and message.

FUN-RAISING

We know that the days of selling items like candy and wrapping paper door-to-door are over.  We also know that there is a limit to just how many Yankee candles 1 person can buy (or sell) in a year!  That's why our PTA tries to provide event style fundraisers in their place.  Over the course of the year, raffles, student holiday shop, trunk and treat and more!  Not only are these great fundraisers, but opportunities to create great memories.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our PTA feels a responsibility to be positive role models for our students. To get much, you must give much.  Community service helps develop an increased sense of social responsibility.  Additionally, under the direction of PTA parents, fifth graders create and participate in service projects that have personal meaning to them as a class.

SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT

It's important to our PTA that we build and sustain a positive climate.  Throughout the year the PTA will sponsor casual gatherings, where we can come together to learn more about each other.  Some events have included the Welcome Back picnic, ice skating, and the end of year picnic.

Thank you to the 2025 5th Graders for the Bulldog Mural!

Reflections

The NJ/National PTA Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on the current year's theme. Each year, students in Grades Pre-K through 12 are recognized for bringing that theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. The 2026-2027 theme is, "What my Culture means to Me" If your child is interested in submitting an entry this year, please click on the links below for the student entry packet and student entry application. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at: LangtreePTA@gmail.com
